Design of Aden International Stock Exchange

Under distinguished academic and engineering settings, the Faculty of Engineering witnessed the defense of the graduation project (Phase 1 – Project 1) for fourth-year Civil Engineering students for the 1447 AH (2025-2026) academic year. The project was titled: “Design of Aden International Stock Exchange (Earthquake Resistant).” This project is the first of its kind in Yemen’s history, designed to be one of the largest stock exchanges globally, utilizing a unique structural design capable of withstanding extreme environmental and seismic loads in coastal areas. It features advanced structural systems, deep foundations (Piles and Raft), and consists of seven luxury structural blocks covering 67,857 square meters with a height of 135 meters. The project was executed by engineers Abdullah Ali Hubaish and Ahmed Abdullah Al-Amri, under the supervision of Dr. Ismail Al-Shumairi. Senior university leaders and academic heads praised the project’s complexity and the precision of the proposed structural solutions.
