The decision to establish the Center for Development and Quality Assurance at the University came as a natural response to the importance of improving and developing the University in general, and its academic programs in particular, in preparation for obtaining both institutional and programmatic accreditation across all disciplines, thereby fulfilling its mission and objectives.

What distinguishes Tontek University is its serious commitment to developing and enhancing the educational process at the University. To achieve this, the Center for Development and Quality Assurance has prepared a Quality Assurance System for Academic Programs and Program Accreditation to serve as a fundamental framework for determining the extent to which performance quality is achieved within the University’s academic programs, identifying strengths to be reinforced, and diagnosing weaknesses to be addressed. The measurement tools were designed in alignment with the standards of the Academic Accreditation Council and the Ministry of Higher Education, and in accordance with internationally recognized high-quality standards and criteria. The system is characterized by several key features, most notably that it is procedural and implementation-oriented rather than merely theoretical. It is also easy to apply due to the clarity of its steps and the availability of examples for most measurement indicators.

The system consists of four sections. The first section aims to provide an overview of the University and the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, followed by the objectives of the system, the archiving and documentation mechanism at the Center, and the methodology for implementing the assessment forms. The second section constitutes the backbone of this system; it focuses on quality assurance in the self-evaluation of academic programs and includes six interconnected chapters (functioning as integrated sub-systems). The third section focuses on the quality assurance system for program accreditation, which aligns with the standards of local and international academic accreditation councils. The fourth and final section provides the sources and references upon which the system was developed. Each section includes the models and forms related to the assessments and measurements concerned.
