Driven by a vision to elevate research quality and postgraduate programs, the Council of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at IUTT held its third meeting for the 2025 academic year on Saturday, October 4, 2025. Chaired by Dr. Ayman Abdu Qaed Al-Sabri, Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, the meeting was attended by Dr. Emad Fouad Al-Ramadah, Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Business; Dr. Hamza Ali Jamil, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and IT; and Ms. Enas Saleh Al-Abed, the University Registrar and Council Rapporteur.
The Council ratified a suite of executive resolutions to enhance research excellence, most notably the adoption of a mandatory pre-publication policy as a prerequisite for scheduling Master’s thesis defenses to ensure publishable outputs. Furthermore, the Council launched an initiative to enable distinguished undergraduate research to be published in peer-reviewed journals, encouraging the publication of graduation projects through a structured internal arbitration mechanism. Regarding academic results, the Council approved the defense outcomes for five MBA theses and forwarded them to the University Council for final ratification.
