Sunday: 6/12/2020, Sana’a, IUTT. Under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and IUTT, a workshop for developing the Business Information Technology program was held today at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology. The workshop began with a welcoming speech by Prof. Wael Al-Aghbari, University President, welcoming the attendees, led by Prof. Ghaleb Hamid Al-Qanis, Deputy Minister of Higher Education for Educational Institutions; Prof. Mohammed Daifallah, Advisor to the Minister; and Prof. Fouad Hassan Abdul-Razzaq, Executive Director of the IT Center at the Ministry. The workshop included a group of specialized professors in Computer Science and IT from Yemeni universities, in addition to IUTT faculty members. The President highlighted the university’s direction to complete the development and accreditation of qualitative academic programs, starting in 2020. This workshop inaugurates the second phase: reviewing and approving academic programs according to international quality standards. Prof. Ghaleb Al-Qanis emphasized the importance of discussing the Business IT program description due to its specificity. Prof. Mohammed Daifallah spoke about the importance of such workshops for improving the educational process. Prof. Mujeeb Musleh, Vice President for Academic Affairs, presented an overview of the university and a detailed explanation of the Business IT program and its development methods. The workshop sessions reviewed the program content, enriching it with observations based on corresponding programs in international universities. Finally, the program document details were reviewed for approval. The University President thanked everyone and distributed certificates of appreciation.
