Interior Design Male Students Visit to Dar Al-Hajar

The third-year male students of the Interior Design Department at the International University of Technology Twintech conducted a field visit to Dar al-Hajar as part of the requirements for the “Conservation of Historic Buildings” course, supervised by Eng. Nada Al-Abyad. The visit involved studying the history of Dar al-Hajar, its architectural features, and interior design components, as well as examining the distinctive furniture within the landmark. The explanation included a study of each floor separately, identifying modern interventions and assessing their harmony with the traditional style. Furthermore, the functional distribution of the floors and rooms was clarified, including the specialized sitting areas, storage units, and traditional features such as “Qamariya” windows and natural cooling systems, which represent the essence of traditional Yemeni architecture
