As part of the graduation project defenses for the Cybersecurity program (2025-2026), and in the presence of IUTT President Prof. Dr. Wael Al-Aghbari, Vice President Prof. Dr. Sadiq Manna, and Secretary-General Dr. Abdullah Jahaaf, the Faculty of Computer Science showcased a distinguished project titled: IntelliGuard: Antimalware Powered by AI for Android Systems.
The project introduces an innovative AI-based Android application trained on over 11,000 apps, achieving 94% accuracy. The model is highly optimized, with a size under 400KB, allowing it to function entirely offline with a response time of less than 0.1 seconds. It effectively detects Zero-Day malware by analyzing 229 behavioral indicators without requiring root access.
Project Team: (Mohammad Waddah Abbad, Amjad Mohammad Ali) supervised by Dr. Hamzah Jamel and Mr. Mohammad Al-Qumasi.
Defense Committees: The internal committee included (Dr. Ayman Al-Sabri, Dr. Jameel Hamzah, Dr. Amin Shayae), and the external committee included (Dr. Hesham Aqlan, Dr. Abduljabbar Al-Sharif). University leadership commended the project’s practical value and its potential as a real-world security product.
