Abstract
Abstract (English)
This study aims to analyze the role of knowledge management in enhancing administrative innovation within Yemeni universities, given that higher education institutions represent a fertile environment for the production and circulation of knowledge. The research employs a descriptive-analytical methodology, using a structured questionnaire distributed to administrative leaders, department heads, and faculty members in a number of public and private universities, supported by qualitative interviews to interpret the findings.
The study investigates key dimensions of knowledge management—knowledge creation, storage, sharing, and application—and explores their impact on administrative innovation in terms of developing procedures, improving organizational structures, and introducing new approaches in delivering educational services. The expected results indicate that effective knowledge management contributes to higher levels of administrative innovation by fostering organizational learning and leveraging the intellectual capital available in universities. The study also highlights the challenges that hinder the implementation of knowledge management practices, such as weak knowledge-sharing culture and limited technological resources, and offers practical recommendations to better integrate knowledge management into administrative development policies in Yemeni universities.
