Journal of Engineering Science and Technology · 2005
Abstract
This research analyzes the primary operational and structural factors dictating the construction speed of the Industrialized Building System (IBS) in Malaysia. Emphasizing modular design, prefabrication, and advanced manufacturing workflows, the study explores how supply chain integration, technological readiness, and skilled labor supply impact project timelines. The results underscore key success factors for accelerating installation processes and achieving cost-efficient scale in modern construction.
