Journal of Construction Engineering and Project Management · 2014 · Vol. 4 · No. 1 · pp. 8–14
Abstract
This investigation identifies systemic vulnerabilities stemming from incompetent or obsolete construction technologies and poorly allocated resource logistics in Yemen’s building industry. The study critiques classical project methodologies and identifies how lack of specialized modern machinery, absence of standardization, and inadequate technological vocational training exacerbate site material wastage, drive up operating overheads, and lower building durability.
